Purchase of New Premises with Training Facility

Hampshire based firm, Omnimed Ltd has is now operating from larger, purchased premises with a training facility for Endoscopists and associated personnel to receive face- to-face training on products and services at their premises in Itchen Abbas near Winchester. As one of the UK’s leading suppliers of endoscopic equipment and accessories to both NHS and private hospitals since 2008, Omnimed brings the world’s latest and best endoscopic equipment and accessories from select suppliers across the globe to give UK hospitals and patients the best possible outcomes during GI procedures.

With over 40 years of experience in the medical equipment industry, Omnimed’s Managing Director, Michael Morris said

We're very excited that we now have the space to offer training to both staff and customers at our new premises in Itchen Abbas, near Winchester. Able to accommodate 12 delegates, the training facility will enable our staff and customers to receive the most up-to-date training on our products and services, allowing us to provide even more quality and value to our customers and ultimately, those NHS patients receiving treatment.

We also want this new space to be somewhere that customers from different hospitals can come and discuss ideas and feedback on products and services, so we are always aware of their changing needs and how we can best respond to them. Whilst we continue to embrace technology for effective remote working and time efficiency, the value of face-to-face human contact is something we will continue to offer and for which we feel there is no replacement.

Whilst many businesses have had to focus on handling the challenges presented by Brexit and COVID, Michael added that

Having a secure manufacturing and supply chain able to weather the storms of Brexit and COVID enabled us to focus on developing our products and services in a way that allows us to best support our changing NHS. Product training and knowledge sharing will be at the forefront of this support to enable our NHS personnel to focus on delivering the best clinical care possible. Back in October 2019 I promised that Brexit would not disrupt our supply chain and that is what the team at Omnimed has delivered.

Ensuring they were well-prepared for Brexit and other unforeseen events such as COVID have offered additional advantages, as Michael explained that

We also made the decision to purchase our new premises in Itchen Abbas near Winchester to ensure we have a secure base from which we can grow and where we have the freedom to customise the premises to respond to changing needs from the NHS. It is very important to us that we are able to provide a high-quality, consistent experience for all our customers and growing team of staff alike. We very much view ourselves as supporting the NHS and are pleased to have been able to combine the cutting edge, forward-thinking feel of a large medical technology organisation whilst retaining the warm, client-focussed approached typical of small independent companies.
